It’s always a challenge when you finish a major project. There’s always a bit of a let-down. What do I do next?
The manuscript for Scarlett and Sam’s second Bible adventure, The Search for the Shamir, has been put to bed. This one will feature King Solomon, Nathan the Prophet, and Ashmodai, king of the demons. (I love those goblins!) It’s based on an old legend about King Solomon that has been one of my favorite stories since I was about 10 years old. It also owes a lot to video games. I love combining old and new themes in a story.
The manuscript has been revised. I made all the changes that my excellent editor, Amy Fitzgerald, suggested. The artwork is nearly complete. I finished the Author’s Note. That’s it. My job is done.
Now it’s time to think of another adventure for Scarlett and Sam? I have some ideas, but I’m always open to others. Any suggestions?
