The Erie Canal Pirates is a song. It should be sung to an old tune about the canal. But not the one about the mule named Sal. There’s another, older one, called “The E-RI-E Canal.” It begins: “We were forty miles from Albany/Forget it I never shall.” That’s the one to use. I’ll sing it in the teaser to get you started.
